...of seedlings and Grandchildren;
What a wonder it is to plant a seed, and watch it grow. From a non descript tiny seed emerges a living plant. No matter how many times I have planted a seed I am still thrilled to witness the new growth that emerges.
Yesterday I was blessed to share some planting memories with my 3 1/2 yr old Granddaughter. She watched and then carefully placed each delicate plant into it's place, pushed the soil around the roots and packed the dirt in. Soon I heard her talking to these plantings, "you grow good" and " Isn't that better", "give you a drink"... she had been not only watching, but listening too.
Her tiny little shoes could easily walk around each little flower planting, and she would jump to the stepping stones to protect her 'baby plants'. As I looked at her tiny feet I was taken back to nearly 30 yrs ago when her mommies feet were that small and how she would help me in the strawberry bed.
I am so very grateful to God for the precious mooments I have to plant and watch seedlings grow and even more thankful and blessed to share special memories with my Grandchildren as they grow.
For now all my seedlings/children are adults or nearing that age of independence and the need to care for and work on their own garden of life. The years of caring for these seedlings from conception, birth, childhood and into adulthood has been the most wonderful and meaningful time of my life. I have been literally shaped into the person I am through the transformation that God led me through in being a mother. I am eternally Gr8ful2Him!!!

Gr8ful2Him for....
Gr8ful2Him (Grateful to Him), my creator God for who he is. ..
This title reminds me to consider who God is and to be grateful for the many things that I often overlook or take for granted.
I started out this blog sight not really knowing what I would include or write about. I am not one short on dialogue or words. But to simply have another notebook or journal to write in didn't seem to make sense to me. Hence the reason for only 2 posts since launching the site.
And so it would seem that at least for now I have a purpose in journaling/blogging on Gr8ful2Him. That being to define the very title of the blog in my own writing and journal. My life reads like a bad soap opera or an unbelievable screen play. Within the pages are details and dialogue that would weigh down the most seasoned speakers. But within each page is a reason to be grateful to God. And so I will attempt to share some of this on my blog sight, as well as new ideas and events that are revealed with each new day.
and so today ...
I am Gr8ful2Him for the gift of communication, for words and language that enables us, his creation to share our ideas, thoughts, stories and his truth with others...May he empower and guide us in the effective use of the communication skills he has blessed us with.
May I invite anyone reading this blog to share your own Gr8ful2Him comment with me and others?

"Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, In His holy mountain." Psalm 48:1
